I was a bit wary after a bad experience at another inn some time ago, but Munras Inn was a pleasant surprise. The location is central, so it was easy to walk to food, coffee, and the wharf. Our room was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the stay, and I’d come back.

The staff were really kind, and the room was comfortable. The inn made for a pleasant stay, with restaurants, cafes, and the beach easy to get to. Still, it’s not noticeably better than the other motels on Munras, which cost a little less and include breakfast :)

The staff were really nice, and the rooms were clean. I may just have been unlucky with the corner room I got: its windows faced the street directly, so people could look right in 😅 The beds were okay, but I wished they’d provided proper pillows instead of square sofa cushions. It was clean, yet the room felt eerie, maybe because of the color or lighting, I don’t know. I’d only recommend it if you’re not coming alone.

We always stay at Munras inn when visiting the Monterey area because it’s close to our favorite places. The rooms feel spacious, and we love the open beam ceilings. Highly recommend.

The inside of the rooms is nicer than you’d guess from looking at the outside of the property. The staff were exceedingly courteous. The staircase was pretty treacherous when wet, and it stayed wet throughout my visit.
