Key West Inn - Montgomery South

NO, NO, NO! The room clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There were no towels or toilet paper, the TV didn’t work, and there wasn’t even a coffee maker. There was black mold in the shower, which is hazardous, and the woman at the front desk was extremely rude. I couldn’t get to the desk because it was shut down, and she eventually passed me a roll of toilet paper through the door. They wouldn’t issue a refund. I left and had to shower right away at the next hotel. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen, an absolute dump. The desk clerk refused to refund my payment. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We asked for a refund and left anyway, just so we could feel safe and clean. The worker, a man around 23 or 24, raised his voice and said the policy we’d signed meant he wouldn’t refund us. We never signed any policy. We’d driven eight hours and had only gone out to pick up takeout after getting our keys and turning on the lights. When we got back and checked the room, there were black dots under the mattress, fresh blood on the sheets and blankets, cigarette holes in the blankets, and no drawers in the dressers. The toilet seat was stained and had pee on it, and the tub had brown streaks and hair left from someone shaving. It was a horrible place. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We should’ve kept driving, but the weather was getting bad and there were no other hotels with vacancies. In Room 108, the pool was condemned and had trash floating in it. Cigarette butts littered the entrance. The bathroom was nasty, so we cleaned it with our Clorox wipes, and the shower didn’t work. The table was carved up and about to fall apart. When we pulled it from the wall, there was a used disposable razor on the chair. One bedspread had a white stain, so we slept in our clothes. The lobby wasn’t open at night or at 7 in the morning.
