The desk staff were very nice, but the room was awful. The toilet felt like it could fall over, there was a black hole in the ceiling, and strangers knocked twice asking us for money. The bed was extremely hard, and the bathroom light flickered so badly I had to bring over a bedside lamp to brush my teeth. I didn’t date shower. I was glad we only had to stay one night, and we were too tired after driving 14 hours to care much. People were asking us for money as soon as we stepped outside, and I didn’t feel safe in the room or confident my car was safe outside.

For $58, it wasn’t bad. The rooms were clean, and we had no other issues. The laundry equipment looked old and dusty and didn’t work. It’s a family-owned business.

The area isn’t the best, but I had no problems or concerns while I was there. The hotel is worn and nothing fancy, though everything in my room was clean and worked. It’s a safe, cheap option.

You can get by here for the price if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but we wouldn’t stay again. Other guests repeatedly asked us for money and cigarettes whenever we left the room, and even followed us to our truck. The room also had a very strong weed smell.

We left after about three hours, and it was probably the most uncomfortable three hours of my life. We’d stopped here while evacuating from hurricane Michael. At first glance it seemed okay, but the room was awful: only one light worked, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the TV was either in Spanish or silent. Outside, there were beggars and people who looked like they were watching the cars to break in after dark. I told the front desk, but nothing was done, so my wife and I left. Avoid this place if you care about your belongings and safety.
