Sleep Inn & Suites Montgomery East I-85

The smell hit me as soon as I walked in, like clove essential oil straight up my nose. It was awful enough to trigger an allergic reaction, so I had to leave. I'd never had that happen before. Maybe they use far too much fragrance, or maybe it was covering up something worse.

The elevator felt shaky, like it might break down someday, and I found a large insect in the room in the morning. There was a strong smoke smell too. I asked to switch rooms, but that didn't work out. One of the worst hotels I've stayed at.

The breakfast was the usual buffet for this hotel, but served hot, which was nice. There was enough to fill us up, so we didn't need to go out. Our room was okay, and as I said, each location is different. We booked spontaneously late at night while driving around the city, so the rate wasn't cheap. This was my first day after landing in NY. We were put on the second floor, but the lift wasn't working. Luckily we had no luggage and only needed to sleep before driving on, so we took the stairs.

The elevators were out for two days straight, and we were on the third floor. There were ladybugs in the room, too. Worst of all, the manager yelled at and mistreated me. This was a terrible experience. That old lady should find a job far away from customers. 😔
