The Hotel Rambler Montgomery, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

The beautiful, clean hotel and relaxing restaurant and bar made our anniversary trip to Cincinnati special. The food was very good, the restaurant staff were nice, and the place was inviting from the moment we arrived. Kelcie at the desk went above and beyond, bringing us more towels and personally bringing a steamer to our room when we couldn’t find one. Makayla at the coffee shop was warm and friendly, and made great drinks to start the morning. The general manager also seemed like a caring manager who genuinely looks after her staff. One thing I observed with the operations manager made me uncomfortable. He was polite with guests, but kept sniffling, touching his nose, and talking a lot, which came across as unprofessional and a little concerning. The way he dealt with employees seemed forced and insincere, as though the friendliness was only for show when guests were around. It’s been a hectic few weeks, so I waited to see if I still felt the same before writing. I wanted to give five stars because nearly everything was wonderful, but that experience took away from an otherwise almost perfect stay. The hotel, amenities, and most of the team were fantastic. I’m unsure about returning if management stays the same, and hope the issue is addressed because the rest of the staff deserve recognition for their service.

The retro decor is great, and the high-tech amenities make for a unique stay in a convenient spot. The bar was a lot of fun and busy while we were there. It works well for couples and business trips, though perhaps less so for families. The main drawbacks are the parking charge and no free breakfast, but the neighborhood makes those easier to accept, with plenty of good places to eat and shop within walking distance.

I’ve stayed twice and would gladly return. The hotel is modern, very clean, and in a good location. The suites come with nice extras, including complimentary water and soda in the mini fridge. When I had a question about my bill, the front desk sorted it out quickly. Thanks to the overnight staff who checked me in, the operations manager, and the daytime desk team, everyone was helpful and quick to respond.

The building looked clean and well cared for, but the room was unbearably hot because the heating and air conditioning wouldn’t work. I tried changing the thermostat without success, and nobody answered when I called the front desk several times. No one offered another room or useful help, so I eventually had to leave. Later, when I asked the manager to comp the room, she was dismissive and unaccommodating. She said that since I’d received a discounted rate and she “couldn’t find anything wrong with the thermostat,” it was somehow my fault for “playing with it too much.” Nothing was done to fix things, and there was no real customer care. The clean, attractive property couldn’t make up for the lack of response and poor service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
