Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in the U.S. I kept getting static shocks in the room, the hair dryer was broken, and there wasn’t even breakfast. Worst of all, they didn’t have a proper quilt.

The pool was the main thing that bothered me. We didn’t book because of it, so not being able to use it wasn’t a problem, but saying it was closed for maintenance when nobody was doing any repairs felt like lying to customers. Reviews suggest that notice has been up for years. Just say the pool is out of order instead of giving a maintenance reason that isn’t true. The room was okay, as was the limited breakfast. There was usually nobody at check-in when we walked by, and we had to call before anyone showed up. The towels were very old: one was so thin you could see through it, and another was yellowish rather than white.

I’m a trucker passing through town, and this guy really helped me out. He let me park my rig out back and helped me get laundry done at no charge. The price for one night was fair, and he even let me stay in the room the next day without charging for another night. Great customer service. I really appreciate him.

The Soviet block look on the outside might put people off, but inside the rooms are really nice and clean, and the shower gets very hot. The guy at the front was real nice, too. Add some flowers or planters out front and you could charge $10 more a night!
