Best Western Montrose Inn

I couldn't get past the traffic noise. Our room was right by a major road, and I could hear every car even with the TV and bathroom fan running. I asked to move, but was told no, despite other rooms being available. It apparently had something to do with the night auditor. The room looked okay and was clean, but the bright white bulbs were harsh and made it feel like a cheap dentist's office. I hate it here.

We used the Tesla Destination chargers and really appreciated having them. The only suggestion I'd make is to tell guests not to park in the EV spaces unless they're driving an electric vehicle. We had to wait for a spot to open up. Our pet-friendly room was exceptionally clean, with no problems at all. The construction mentioned in other comments is finished except for the elevator. Breakfast was fine for the price, with toast, bagels, juice, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, and some fruit. It was a handy quick bite.

We spent two nights in late October and would stay here again next time we're in town. The staff were very friendly, our recently refurbished room was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The inside has been remodeled, perhaps throughout the hotel, and looks much better than the exterior might suggest. Our room had a 40-inch flat-screen TV with cable, plus a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was what you'd expect at a Best Western, Holiday Inn, or Hampton Inn: eggs, bacon, cereal, waffles, fruit, and coffee. It was good.

The room was spacious and breakfast was decent, but the elevator wasn't working during our stay. We were put in a connecting room, and the people next door were loud all night, so sleeping was difficult. The place needs more attention to cleaning.
