We were in a spacious studio with a balcony for two nights in late December 2025, and it felt like a lot of room for the price. The bedroom and big living area were separated by the bathroom and hallway. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig, not some off-brand machine. Staff were super nice. The location was easy to get in and out of, with groceries and restaurants about 10 minutes away. The gym is tiny but has good equipment. Breakfast gets delivered to your room at the time you request on an order form instead of being a continental spread. The bed wasn't very comfortable, and since we were near the hallway, we heard people walking and opening and closing doors. The building looks like a tower, though I think most occupied rooms were in a newer or renovated section beside it. 5/5.

That balcony was a big plus. The weather was nice, so we left it open and slept really well. We hadn't stayed here before, and the place was clean, comfortable, and in a very good location. We don't mind spending more for a nice place and good service, but this cost a lot less and was just as good or better. There's no bar or restaurant on-site, though both are only a very short walk away.

Everyone on staff was super nice, and the location has beautiful water views. Our very clean room was on the third floor, with the two queen beds divided by the bathroom and kitchen, which we liked. The beds were too hard for our family, though. That was the one thing keeping me from giving it five stars.

Dawn Cummings sorted out our room quickly when we arrived. I thought I'd requested a king suite for our Dec 26-29th Christmas present to ourselves, but the booking was for a queen suite. She offered us a king studio with a balcony in the new section for the same price, and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone on staff was extremely helpful. We used the Bask as a base for day trips to Beaufort, New Bern to see Tryon Palace, and antique shopping around the area. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting the Morehead City area. You won't be disappointed with the hotel or the service.

The room was huge and looked great, and reception was really understanding, but we had to check out because the TVs didn't work. We drove four hours for that. People need to be told about the problem. Call ahead.
