Hampton Inn & Suites Moreno Valley

The staff were helpful and professional, and the place was clean. Breakfast was great too. One of the nicer hotels in Moreno Valley.

We called a week before our holiday booking to check whether dogs were allowed and were told yes. At arrival, we learned dogs couldn’t use the pool area and were only allowed in rooms, with no access to other hotel areas. That restriction should have been explained up front, especially with a nonrefundable $75 plus tax charge. I had to cancel and drive 40 minutes home. Really disappointing. I’ll be contacting corporate.

The room was clean, the front desk was friendly, and there are good places to eat nearby.

I’d booked and prepaid through the Hilton app, then checked in there too. I could use my digital key and get into the room, yet the next day the hotel charged my card again for more than the amount I’d already paid. They said our room showed up on a high value report, and insisted it wasn’t paid, leaving me with two Hilton/Hampton charges totaling nearly $600 for two nights. There was no manager on duty, and the desk clerk said they couldn’t do anything. I got three phone numbers, but two were closed for the night and the third said it wasn’t their department. I’ve stayed with Hilton many times and was even a Diamond member at one point, without this sort of problem. It felt like the companies keep adding fees and counting on customers not to notice questionable charges. No one seemed willing or able to fix it, which has me thinking about other hotel brands. Update: the manager looked into it promptly and corrected the issue before I even came to speak with her. That was great customer service.
