Residence Inn by Marriott Riverside Moreno Valley

We were charged for blood spots on the sheets after the manager called, even though my kids' bloody noses came from the dusty room and its dry, poor air. Two of my children got nosebleeds in their sleep because the air was so dry and the room so dusty. We stayed four nights over Christmas and understood that housekeeping would come only once every two nights, with the holiday affecting the schedule. But nobody serviced the room at all. By checkout the bins were overflowing and we had run out of tissues and toilet paper. We ended up loading the dishes, sorting the garbage, and piling the used towels and sheets ourselves. An awful stay that put a cloud over what was otherwise a merry Christmas.

I arrived at 2:30 am as a Titanium Elite Marriott guest, having booked for a couple of days, and was told a system update meant they released all the rooms after 2:00. They said they would book me again once the system came back up in 30-40 minutes. That was all lies. They had given my room away, and special Elite customer service confirmed there were no rooms available. Marriott guest service helped me find another location at 3:30 am. A horrible Marriott experience. I plan to keep complaining until Marriott apologizes.

The food was delicious and the hotel was awesome otherwise, but the power went out across the whole building for an hour or two. Also, there was a bed bug in the bed closest to the restroom. Ewww.

The rooms are spacious and updated, and there are several places to eat within easy walking distance. A handy feature is having ice and water machines on every floor, where you can fill several large bottles with ice and cold water. A great place to stay when visiting Riverside or Moreno Valley.
