Super 8 Morris

The staff were great, friendly, and helpful, they deserve a raise! Breakfast was basic, though they did have a waffle maker, and my friend seemed to enjoy the coffee from the desk area. The hotel was full for Homecoming at Morris, with construction workers in many rooms during our late September stay. They'd left for work early, and the hotel was empty by 8:00am. Our room was neat and tidy, the beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was nice, but the pool was a bit cold. The toilet was really low and had a dirt ring around the bowl.

The price was good, so I'd consider giving this place one more chance. The check-out woman was super nice and friendly, though check-in was rough. Around 7:45 pm, the front desk girl was napping when I came in. She got me checked in but gave only the bare minimum, no directions to the room or stairs. When I asked about food, she said everything closed at 8 except Subway, Pizza Hut, and McDonald's, which closed at 9 and 11. But when I checked and called around, everything was open until at least 9, and the bar served a full menu until 11. I stayed one Friday night. The hotel was decent, and the room seemed clean and neat, though the toilet ring was loose. I didn't use the shower. The included breakfast was very basic but okay for the room price. Maybe the front desk lady was just having an off day.

I'm really happy I chose the cheaper hotel instead of the more expensive ones down the road. The room was lovely, the pillows were comfy, and the large picture made a pretty headboard. The staff were really nice too.

I wouldn't mind staying here again. The room was spacious and clean, the staff friendly, and the bed very comfortable. The shower had good heat and pressure, and the internet was amazingly fast. I usually stay at places several notches above Super 8 and its competitors, but sometimes beggars can't be choosers. This place surprised me. Just remember, if you're used to the Sheraton or somewhere like that, this is still a Super 8.
