Super 8 Motel - Morristown/South

I left after only about eight minutes, and I don't see a charge on my card since the front desk said the reservation was canceled. I'd driven 10 1/2 hours to visit my daughter and needed a pet-friendly king room for my dog. The pet rate was the cheapest I found, and because the hotel had the "Wyndham" name behind it, I thought it would be a good choice. Huge mistake. The room was the most disgusting I've ever seen, and I took pictures before asking to cancel and get my money back. The employee looked at them and tried to excuse the stain on the bedspread. She said a refund might take 7 - 14 business days; I told her it shouldn't, since I'd barely been there, and she said she'd canceled it. At check-in, that same employee was coughing a lot without covering her mouth or turning away. I tried to avoid the coughs and signed with another pen, but I ended up with a cold. I went to another hotel across the highway. Its room and pet fees were a little higher, but at least the sofa, bedspread, and pillow were clean and unstained. Check the photos I uploaded against the website pictures before booking.

This is a $40 Oyo room at best. The owner is horrible, so save your money. The TV remote was broken, and they had no replacement, meaning I had to get up to operate the television. A remote costs about $15, and they knew the previous guests had the same problem but were too cheap to buy one. The microwave didn't work either, so why leave it in the room? The sink leaked onto the bathroom floor, the door had no security latch, and there was no breakfast.

We might stay again if we're in the area. The room and bed were clean, and access was good for a low-budget place. The couch, though, had a ton of stains and looked like something from a crime scene.

Couldn't get anyone at the front desk to help the first night after checking in. The ice machine was out of order, trash was piled beside the big dumpster, and the bathroom shower head leaked badly onto the floor.
