At around $60 a night, this motel is cheaper than any other hotel in the area. It’s also very close to the University of Idaho, so getting to a campus conference or event on foot is easy. For a couple of nights, it can be a good way to save money, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer. It’s an old building, and a lot of the furniture is worn and uncomfortable. You can feel the wood structure under the seat cushions. The sheets are a bit itchy and the beds are pretty stiff. It’s not awful, just not very comfortable.

I was satisfied with my stay. The prices were fair, and the rooms have kitchenettes, a coffee maker, and lots of closet storage. They could improve things by replacing the cable TV with something better.

I’ve stayed twice and will keep coming back to the Idaho Inn when I visit Moscow. It’s a good budget option, a cozy place to sleep with clean rooms, a warm bed, and really sweet people providing great service. There are some motel quirks: the lights flicker and the AC/heater is noisy. Still, both times the heater and AC worked perfectly, and I had no trouble with the TV, outlets, or hot water. The shower gets plenty hot, trust me. There are tons of drawers and closet space for unpacking, and the lamp has an outlet on it. The curtains close too. You get what you pay for.

The price was okay. Some staff were hella cool, but others just didn’t care. I think they double-charged me a couple of times, though they fixed it quickly. They were always out of rags. Meh kind of place.

Everyone was kind and super helpful, and the area was great. For the price, the room was great too. I liked the spacious bathroom and all the closet space, and the little half stove made the room feel homey. The shower head could’ve been better, but it wasn’t too annoying. 😊
