Best Western Plus Lake Front Hotel

The room felt worn and didn’t have many outlets for computers and other devices. At bedtime we discovered the sheets on one of the queen beds hadn’t been washed. A very nice maintenance man came up, apologized, and helped us remake the bed, but the front desk didn’t apologize. In the morning we found another surprise in the bathroom behind the extra toilet paper rolls. We won’t be back.

The restaurant here has been a highlight so far. It’s a bit pricey, but my Gouda bacon burger was delicious, and the poutine pastrami cheese fries were pretty good too. They could’ve used a little salt, though I didn’t think to ask. Everything came hot and covered on a tray with real silverware. I haven’t tried the hot tub yet, but plan to later today. My company booked me here while I train a guy for his route. I’m a night walker, and it’s very quiet. Sleeping during the day has been easy too. I put up the do not disturb sign, and the only knock was from room service. I didn’t get a room with a view, but that doesn’t matter much since I sleep most of the day. I’m here for a week, and the first three days have been fantastic. Yes, I’d recommend this place.

Everyone we met was super friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. We’ll stay here again.

The place is older, but the staff are top notch. The continental breakfast is the best around, though we don’t get out much. We especially appreciated the EV charger, which is why we stayed here.
