Expedia accidentally booked me one night at this supposed hotel. Once I realized it was a private residence with a bed and breakfast setup, I tried to cancel because I wanted a real hotel room. They refused to refund the $138. I felt duped and robbed. Stay away from this private home pretending to be a hotel. Shame on you, Laura, and your scam.

My sister and her husband live in Grand Rapids and wanted to stay with me while we attended my mother's funeral services. After she spoke with the owners, she changed her mind about sharing a home with the resident during such a difficult time and booked a private house where we could all stay together. My reservation was less than 24 hours old, and the stay was still three weeks away, but Hampton House wouldn't return my money. A poor excuse for a business. I'll be contacting the chamber of commerce.

I thought I'd booked a hotel, but it turned out to be a house that wasn't up to code. When I showered, water started dripping through their ceiling, and they blamed me for it.
