My fiance and I spent the weekend here and had a great time. The host was so welcoming and made sure we felt at home. The banana bread, bread pudding, and eggs with tomatoes and spinach were delicious. We’ll definitely be back, and I’m going to gift my best friend and his wife a stay here too.

We celebrated our 52nd anniversary with three nights at Heron Cay, and had a wonderful time. Margie, the owner and host, was gracious and accommodating. The room was great and breakfast was wonderful. We also really enjoyed the pool, gazebo, and extensive collection of "Highwayman" Art. It was a first-class experience, and I’m sure we’ll return.

The B n B was immaculate, with not a speck of dust, and the hosts were warm and personable. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, from fluffy eggs to delicious croissant French toast and casseroles. The fruit was fresh, and some of it, including the pineapple, came from the owner’s garden. The grounds were well kept, with a spacious porch and lovely backyard pool. We didn’t use the pool in winter, but it was beautiful. My husband and I stayed just after Christmas and liked being outside downtown while still within a quick walk. The neighborhood was charming, and we enjoyed the holiday lights and flavors. We highly recommend it for a warm, quaint stay, whether you’re traveling with friends, on your own, or for a romantic getaway.

The hostess was so gracious, and the bed and breakfast is beautiful, with a clean, tidy, nicely furnished bedroom. Breakfast was delicious and home cooked. Restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. What more could you ask for?

Margy and Melissa were nice, the breakfasts were great, and it was an easy walk downtown. I also loved the Highway Men paintings, which are all over the house. There are lots of little decorative pieces and some beautiful accents too. The house looks Victorian, though the owner said it was built in the 90's. We were there with friends and booked the ground-floor room by the back door, the only one available that weekend. It was handicap accessible, but felt tired. The linens and towels seemed as old as the house, with a nostalgic 1980's look: ruffles, wallpaper borders, and flowery mauve bedding. It felt like staying in Grandma's spare room, right down to the old smell. The mattress was rock hard and my back still hurts. The pillows were flat and worn out. The little deck outside the room had repaired furniture, including a wire shelf replacing the seat of an iron loveseat, covered with a cushion. The glass table was filthy, and the paint around the deck was chipped and dirty. There were holes dug by the owners’ dogs and dog poop in the yard right in front of our room. The place may have been lovely when it was maintained, but it looks like no one has done upkeep in years. I saw my friends’ upstairs suites too, and to me they also looked old and tired. It needs a major overhaul, which would be a big investment for the owner.
