Green Crest Motel

We left right away after seeing four or five bed bugs in the room. The AC also didn't work, and there was no kitchen or fridge. We'd booked the family suite online, but on arrival the owner acted as if it wasn't available. He'd let someone else stay in it free and first tried to put our group of seven in a one-bedroom room. Eventually he moved those guests elsewhere, but the suite was filthy. For what it was like, the motel should cost $20 a night.

In room#8 I found bedbugs, roaches, ants, and other kinds of bugs. I put the ones I could catch into a mason jar and handed them to the owner so she could see them. The lack of sleep made an already awful stay worse. The owners were rude, and people came to my room at 2 a.m. asking to rent one because the lady manager wouldn't come outside to help them. This was a terrible nightmare, worse than any Michael Moore scary movie. I think the place may go under soon. I'm just telling the truth and warning people who want a room without bugs.

I usually enjoy staying at mom and pop motels, but this was the worst one. I was tired, it was late, and I had no other option. There wasn't any soap or towels, and neither the heat nor the A/C worked. The sink was coming away from the wall, with plumbing that looked badly patched up. They couldn't give me a key, and the walls were covered in mismatched patches of old paint.

For $50 a night, the room was far too expensive. The sheets had holes, the place was generally dirty, and the carpet looked like it hadn't been washed in a year. The toilet rocked on the floor. For just $30 more I could've had a room ten times nicer, plus access to an indoor heated pool, which I'd have gladly used.
