The room only seemed superficially clean. I wiped the floor with the bath mat and found dark residue, and a towel came away dirty after I wiped around the sink. There were glasses behind the mattress, and stains on the sheets, blanket, curtains, and walls. Maybe the building itself can’t be changed, but the cleaning staff could be made aware and given training. The room also smelled very damp when we walked in. I couldn’t work out if it came from the drain or the air conditioning. Opening the window didn’t help, though turning on the heater made the smell a little better. On the good side, the receptionist was incredibly friendly and funny, so we felt welcome right away. There were free cookies and coffee, and breakfast was good.

The price is convenient, the breakfast is awesome, and the staff and housekeepers are so kind. This is my favorite hotel for getting away to relax with my kids.

The bed was bad enough that getting bitten while I slept tells me a lot. The owner should have the room treated for bed bugs. I’m only here for one night, fortunately. The front desk gave me trouble about my service dog even though I have all the necessary papers and tags. The law is clear that they aren’t supposed to ask what the service is. I’m unhappy with how it was handled.

The room didn’t smell, and the staff were nice, but room 310 had a lot of problems. The walls had soft spots, and the wall plates were bending away from them. The outlets on one side of the bedstand didn’t work at all. Shower pressure was terrible and the temperature barely acceptable. The toilet tank felt like it was connected to the hot water main because it was radiating warmth. Once switched on, the AC clanked loudly and kept doing it until it was turned off.
