Hampton Inn & Suites Mount Pleasant

The hard spring mattress was uncomfortable, and the small TV had no streaming apps, so it was just regular TV. Still, for a cheap weekend getaway, this was a nice hotel for the price. The room was clean and somewhat modern, and the bathroom was roomy enough for two adults to get ready at once. We had a big walk-in shower, too. Check-in staff were very friendly. It's in a safe area behind the Jalepeño Tree, handy if you like Mexican food. I'd appreciate some updates for comfort, but we were extremely satisfied with the visit for the rates.

We like that it's tucked off the main road and feels like a safe place for our family. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the complimentary breakfast is reliably good. Our stays here are always wonderful. My only complaint is that the beds feel too hard for my taste.

Noise carried down to my lower floor, and it sounded like Big Foot was stomping around above me. I don't think the people upstairs were deliberately heavy footed, though; the sound just traveled. The fitness room is small, with two treadmills, a Peloton bike, and free weights. Both treadmills weren't working when I tried them. I unplugged and replugged them, after which one said it was temporarily unavailable and the other took about five minutes to reboot. Breakfast had a good range of choices and the coffee was good. The staff were kind and professional, my room was tidy, and the Hampton Inn and Suites is conveniently right off the highway. I'd stay again.

We were here for five days after my grandmother passed away, and the staff were so helpful and amazing during a hard time. Ronnie at the front desk even sent our family sympathy flowers. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, and the coffee available around the clock was always fresh and really hit the spot, whatever kind it was. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area.
