Inn at I'On, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We booked our next stay before we even left. The staff and the place were such a great surprise, and we had an amazing weekend. Sunday Brunch was sooo perfect, and we didn’t eat anywhere else!

The rooms and the hotel itself have an old-time feel, and the location is great. Amy and Renee were wonderful, doing everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The staff are AMAZING. I’ve stayed at several Choice hotels over the years, and this is the best one available. We’ll definitely come back!

There wasn’t a porch to sit on, and breakfast was a cold waffle in a paper bag from the restaurant next door. There also wasn’t a shared room to relax in or have breakfast served. The bed was so-so, and the pool is at a club two blocks away. The inn itself was delightful, though, and our room was clean and comfortable. The location is great, about 15-20 minutes from downtown Charleston. Still, it’s not my favorite B&B.

Renee helped us out the first night and Amy the second after we locked ourselves out twice while sitting on the balcony bench. They were happy to rescue us both times. Service at the restaurant and bar was impeccable, too. Customer service here is amazing. We stayed in room D in the palmetto building for three nights last week. It was very clean, well equipped with everything we needed, and had a really comfortable bed. The inn exceeded our expectations. The area has lots of nightlife and feels quaint and homey. Last time we visited, we stayed at the Marriott downtown Charleston, which felt much more impersonal. We had a great time here and highly recommend a visit!
