It’s inexpensive if you only need a night. Our room smelled a little off, so we kept our flip-flops on while walking around and checked out early in the morning. We didn’t use the shower, and there was no breakfast.

The bathroom had mold, the room smelled bad and was dirty, and there were dead roaches on the floor. My wife and I looked at each other and decided we were leaving. There was no way we were sleeping there, and we didn’t feel safe enough to try. I’d recommend sleeping with bears or in your car before ever considering this place again. We’d booked online while traveling because it was getting late and we wanted to secure a room. The pictures looked great, but don’t be fooled, they didn’t match what we found. The huge lobby was full of old, funky couches like something from a scary movie, or a back room in a hookah lounge, to be polite. People were slumped over sleeping, I think they were sleeping. Since the booking was non-refundable, we asked to see the room. The attendant said it was the only one available. The hallway looked like another 70s scary movie, with badly scratched walls and beat-up doors. The attendant opened our room and we saw the mess.

The one nice thing was the friendly black and white bunny outside. It was moving around, came up to sniff my hand, then wandered off. It seemed cold, but that still wasn’t enough for us to grab it. We chose this cheap place because it was late and too cold to keep driving, and the first night seemed okay. The next day we were out all day, then came back and tried to use the microwave. After nine minutes the food was still frozen and cold, so I figured it was broken. The front desk guy looked at me like I was wrong and asked whether I’d taken the lid off my bowl while heating it. I said I’d heated it for two minutes and removed the lid to stir so it wouldn’t splatter everywhere and get us charged for it, but it still hadn’t worked after nine minutes. He tried the one behind the counter. It warmed the food, but not enough for me to eat it. The shower had good pressure, but when you turned it to hot, the water stayed cold. You had to shut it off to get any pressure, and there still wasn’t hot water. After being out in the cold, all we wanted was a hot shower and a bed.

The front desk staff were always very nice, and I appreciated the little table they’d put in the good-sized bunk room. There’s no breakfast. It’s an older hotel, but they’ve upgraded everything, so it’s very nice, clean, and feels “new.” A great choice!

We had to stop unexpectedly while traveling because of the snow and ice. The staff were very accommodating, and the place was clean and safe. Nothing fancy, though, and the pool was closed for repairs with no breakfast offered.
