Comfort Inn & Suites Mount Sterling

We spent two nights here with our family, and had to buy breakfast both mornings. The first day there was barely any food and nothing was being replenished, so I figured it might just be a bad morning. The next day there was even less: a few yogurts and four pieces of toast. The biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs, and waffle batter were all gone. There wasn’t any silverware, so my son couldn’t even spread butter on the toast he took. Both the orange and apple juice tasted watered down. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels and have never seen anything like it. I asked at the desk if food would be restocked and was told someone would do it soon, but after half an hour, nobody showed up. Plenty of other people were complaining too, and nothing changed. Breakfast was advertised, but not served to everyone. I wish I could get reimbursed for the two breakfasts I had to buy.

Ann was friendly and helpful at the late-night front desk. The room was quiet and clean, and the beds were comfy. It’s a handy spot off the highway for a quick overnight, and I’d stay again anytime. Ignore fake sabotage reviews, especially the ones without photos.

The room was nice and cold, just how I like it, and the bed was on the firm side without being too hard. Breakfast had good variety, and the room was comfortable and mostly clean. The price felt fair, and I’d stay again if I’m in the area. A few things bothered me: the tissue box had just one tissue, the hallway noise came through more than I’d like, and the TV guide was confusing across several channels. A printout with all the channels, or at least the main ones, would’ve helped. The door wouldn’t close fully unless helped along, which could be scary if you didn’t notice. Also, a stranger tried scanning a key card on our door about three times, then I heard them trying other doors down the hall. I assume they’d forgotten their room number, or something like that, and hope that was all. The bed wasn’t too hard, though it was pretty firm.

I’ve been here for weeks for work, and they clean my room every day, which is rare on a long stay. The staff are kind and professional, the rooms are really nice, and there’s a nice pool and hot breakfast. I love this place. I’d give it six stars if I could.
