Quality Inn Oceanfront

I've been coming to Quality Inn ocean front for over 20 years, and just took another trip for labor day weekend. It's still my favorite place to go. The rooms are very clean, and while it's not brand new, it's a perfect beach-front room. I had no problems at all. The location is especially good if you're older or traveling with kids. There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance, and the boardwalk is only a few minutes away. To me, that area is much rowdier than midtown. I'd recommend this for a family trip or a relaxed vacation. Thanks for having us again, as usual.

The beachfront play area on the bottom floor is great for kids, and it's an easy walk to the beach. There was garbage in the sand in front of the hotel, though, especially cigarette butts and beer cans right where my child tried to play. Our room smelled musty and the air conditioning didn't work, so we had to ask the front desk for two fans to get comfortable. They really need to fix the AC. The indoor pool was cloudy and humid, so I didn't try swimming in it. The outdoor pool was beautiful, if a little cold, which is to be expected. All in all, I'd stay here again.

After a long, tiring drive to Ocean City, we just wanted to relax at Quality Inn Oceanfront. Instead, we went through three rooms, and none was clean. Room 1 smelled musty and had a blood spot on the carpet, hair in the shower, a yellow stain on the shower floor, and a broken A/C. Room 2 smelled strongly of urine and had more hair and yellow shower stains. Room 3 had an empty soda can, more bathroom hair, and those same yellow stains. A polite, patient front desk employee, a Caucasian woman with glasses, genuinely tried to help each time we reported a problem. We appreciated her effort, but the rooms were unacceptable, so we left. Both hotel managers assured us we'd get a full refund, which I appreciated. The condition of the rooms left a very negative impression, and I won't stay at this property next time I'm in Ocean City, Maryland.

The view, beach, and Atrium are all great, and we've enjoyed every stay over the ten years we've been coming here. A special thank-you to front desk clerk Mia. She helped me track down my lost headphones, said she'd call me back, and followed through. She arranged for them to be shipped to me within a day or two. Thank you, Mia 😀
