We usually come every year to visit family and stay at Dogwood, but we won’t be coming back. We arrived after 3 p.m. and the hotel was marked open, but no one was in the office. The door said to call a number, and when we did, they told us to wait 15 minutes. It was frustrating. We’d reserved a king room at Dogwood Mountain View Ar, but got a room with two small beds because they said dogs aren’t allowed in king rooms. My dog is a service corgi. We then couldn’t get our door open. Neither the air conditioning nor heat worked, so there was a fan on the stand and a portable heater in the corner. The TV remote didn’t work, leaving us stuck on one channel, and the room smelled like mold.

There were flies all over the room, landing on me while I was trying to sleep. Staff said it was because doors had been left open, even though it was 30 degrees outside. At the front desk they were very rude and said there was nothing they could do. My towel was old and had a hole in it. I was driving by and wanted to give the place a chance, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s a cheap room just inside town, with a bed, shower, and cable. Nothing special, but not bad either. I give it 3s across the board. I don’t know if the pool is open in summer. I’ll probably go back, since I visit Mt view a few times a year.

We had a quiet, pleasant room beside a grassy area, which was handy since our service dog was with us. I wasn’t expecting a top-line hotel, and it wasn’t one. The only problem was the sink, which was stopped up and took forever to drain.

We stay here whenever we visit Mt View and couldn’t ask for friendlier owners or better service. The whole family is super nice. Room 19 had fresh paint, new curtains, and new bathroom tile. Whenever we needed extra towels, they brought them. We won’t stay anywhere else.
