Econo Lodge

I've stayed here before, but this visit really stood out for how clean the room was. I manage a Hilton brand hotel, so I know what clean looks like. At checkout I recognized the woman I'd seen walking around with cleaning supplies and was happy to tell her she'd done a great job. Not finding any dust or hair is amazing. Thanks for a great stay, I'll definitely be back!

The toilet leaks and is hard to flush, and the staff are rude and don't keep their word. Although the room is supposed to be wheelchair accessible, a wheelchair can't fit between the toilet and the wall. I'm not wheelchair bound, so I could walk through, but the tub was still so high that getting in and out of the shower was difficult. A recliner, or at least a chair with some kind of stool, would have been nice. Larger people are considered in the design of many places these days, but not this one. I wouldn't recommend it.

Bed bugs! I'm extremely dissatisfied. The staff were friendly, but the smoke alarm kept beeping and I couldn't reach anyone to fix it after the office closed for the night. Between that and the bed bugs, I got no sleep. The pool was very cloudy and smelled strongly of chemicals. I won't stay again. They didn't charge me after I told them about the night, which I think was fair since I slept zero hours.

The room, beds, and bathroom were clean, which mattered most to me. For $80, you can't expect much, but it was decent for the price. The shower kept shifting from hot to cold, and daylight showed around the door. I'd stay at the Econo Lodge again if I needed a night in Mountain View.
