The safety concerns outside the building were what made this stay so stressful. People were around every entrance day and night, and some got aggressive when I tried to pass them on my way to get food. At night, a few followed me toward the bistro, pressured me for money, and became more confrontational when I kept walking. I told the front desk, but they didn’t seem to care. There was shouting and arguing at all hours, too. Inside, the place was filthy and dim. The lobby and hallways smelled so strong I held my breath on the stairs. There was urine on the stairs and by the exits, cigarette butts scattered around, and the halls smelled of burnt fish and cooking grease. My bathtub was grimy and had barely any water pressure, as did the sinks, so I never got to shower. The sheets and towels I eventually received were stained and smelled greasy, and I had to make the bed myself because it was soiled and housekeeping never showed up. The mattress was stained, the sheets felt stiff, and there was no working heater, so I spent the night cold under the top blanket. I could barely get anyone to check me in, and there was no greeting. I’d been driving for over 16 hours and had asked for do not disturb, but Katy called me at 8 AM on Saturday and Sunday for no reason. I’d paid in full. No one apologized or explained, and she was rude and dismissive, as other actual guest reviews have said. Also, there is no breakfast. I left after the first weekend, two weeks before my planned checkout, because nothing improved. The experience kept me from getting my work done and set my workload back by weeks. My colleagues had to find another vacant hotel at short notice, throwing our conferences into chaos and frustrating my team. We were lucky to find a clean, safe hotel nearby that could take all of us. My company and staff won’t stay at an Extended Stay Motel again. I’m also seeing paying customers’ voices drowned out by 12 recent fake reviews. They appear to be posted by people who work there and by users or vagrants who frequent the property, some of whom even live in their cars on site. That may explain why those paid reviews have no details. Keep it in mind when deciding whether to stay here. I won’t leave my name or information because I experienced identity theft during my stay. I’m not interested in a response from this establishment, either. I’ve seen how other guests are treated and spoken to, and don’t want to read an insincere reply.

They wouldn’t offer any compensation and told me to leave when I said this wasn’t up to Extended Stay standards. The room had no dishes unless you ask for them, and the heaters looked like they were from the 1980s. Mine didn’t work, and the front desk was absolutely rude. They call it a continental breakfast, but there were no to-go cups and not a single bowl for oatmeal. One guest said it had been that way for a while. In my eyes, this place isn’t worth $50. I stay in a lot of hotels, and this was horrible representation of extended stay.

My opinion changed completely after I talked directly with the general manager, Michele. She listened, understood the problem right away, and took steps to make it right without excuses or pushback. She followed through professionally, and her effort and leadership left me with a very positive impression. How a business handles a problem says a lot, and Michele handled this one extremely well. I appreciate the way it was resolved, and based on that experience alone, I feel comfortable recommending this place.

The property was disgusting, the staff were rude, and the whole experience here has been awful. The fire alarm went off twice late at night, each time for about two hours before someone shut it off. The rooms are outdated. The toilet is no good, the stovetop barely works, and the cooking dishes they provide are worn out and out of date. There’s dog crap all over outside, and I’ve stepped in it a few times. Breakfast wasn’t kept stocked for the full time it was supposed to be available. Now this Extended Stay says the other one in Lynn wouldn’t let us stay, but that’s not what happened. We had to leave the other place because they were overbooked, not because we were kicked out. Here, they say we have to be out by 12:30 or they won’t refund us.

I’m not looking for another stay. I want Extended Stay America corporate / HQ to know about the failures in leadership, guest care, and basic standards at this location. Guests deserve accountability, not templates and silence. After paying over $800, I was left with ants in one room, hair all over the second, a microwave that sparked and nearly exploded, and used socks from a previous guest. I have photos and videos of all of it. Staff didn’t apologize or fix anything. Katy implied the socks were mine, then walked away while I was talking. Michelle (GM) said she’d meet with me about it, but never showed, and neglected the situation while I tried to resolve it. Management then told me I was “not a good fit” and should check out instead of addressing the cleanliness and safety problems. I contacted regional manager Jason Loya, who said he would get in touch, but a week passed without a word. The public response makes the same point: it’s a generic copy-and-paste message with no action behind it. Despite saying my concerns were being “reviewed,” no one followed up by phone or email or tried to resolve anything. During and after my stay, Assistant Manager Katy (on site), General Manager Michelle, and Regional Manager Jason Loya all ignored and dismissed me. None took action or showed professionalism when I raised serious safety and cleanliness concerns. A polished response posted publicly, while making no effort to contact me privately, shows a complete lack of accountability. This was unsafe and poorly managed, and the handling by management was negligent and unprofessional. The conditions and treatment were unacceptable. This property desperately needs better management, accountability, and basic cleanliness standards.
