High Desert Inn

After hours on the road, we were so pleasantly surprised to find this place just a couple of miles off the highway. It was quiet, and we slept really well. The rooms were clean, freshly painted, and well kept, and the property looked cared for. The lot was very clean too. There’s a small dog area with bags and trash bins neatly set out, plus a covered outdoor spot with benches for a BBQ in the shade if you want one. You can tell they work hard to keep the place nice.

This family run place feels a bit like staying with friends, and it’s the only motel in the area at this price that has so much class. The High Desert Inn, in Salina, Utah has simple but effective rooms that are immaculate and fully functional. It’s roughly half the price of most competition in Salina, Delta, Richfield, and Green River, with better quality. Parking is easy, and the area is quiet, with US 50 about a third of a block away and I-70 perhaps three or four blocks away. We were warmly greeted even though we arrived pretty late, and slept very soundly. It’s the only place in the area we stay. Pets are welcome, though there’s a pet fee. Hank Watts (and Cami)

We were pleasantly surprised by this family owned and operated hotel, conveniently located between Bryce and The Arches. The modernized rooms are quaint, and the grounds are clean and well kept. We enjoyed chatting with the owner's son when he checked us in. He was such a pleasant, friendly young man. It was nice to sit outside in the evening.

We read reviews of the other hotels nearby and decided to give this one a try. It didn’t disappoint. The rooms were very clean and a good size, though the TV was small by comparison. There’s a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room, and there was occasional noise from the freeway. We’ll definitely choose this hotel on our way back home.
