We enjoyed talking with Sandy about the area, and the breakfast she made for us was lovely. She made our stay feel special. The home was very clean, modern, and up to date. Highly recommend it!

We were only there from 10pm until 8am the next day, and the room we found ourselves in was a small bunk room for two adults, though we'd booked a "triple room" that hadn't been described clearly. In the bathroom, the toilet was broken and covered in urine, apparently left unflushed after being used several times. The towels and washcloths smelled a bit, and the white washcloths looked gray, like they hadn't been bleached or sterilized. There were dirty marks on the walls, stains on the floors, and the shower leaked badly enough to leave a slippery, dangerous puddle outside it. In the morning the house manager brought over coffee cake she'd made at home and warmed up to serve us. Given what we'd seen, that made breakfast uncomfortable. No other food or drinks were offered. I sent the owner photos and complained. She called the pictures disturbing, said the house hadn't been maintained when we arrived, and said she would discipline Delight. She also explained that Delight had made the cake at home, and that a previous guest had called to say she'd returned after checking out, used the toilet, and couldn't flush it. That's how the owner learned the flapper was on the fritz. About the door knob, she said she'd cleaned the house herself for a year without that happening and wasn't sure how we broke it. She offered to discount the stay because of the toilet and washcloth, and said she wouldn't charge us for the broken door handle, while thanking us for mentioning it. She added that Delight had just found out she had cancer again and had been out of it, and that disciplining her would come at a bad time. The response felt very unprofessional. It seemed like they cared about taking our money more than looking after guests.
The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. Our host made the stay feel personal, and even gave my cousin a quick music lesson. She was wonderful.
Great food and really comfy beds, plus plenty of snow. An excellent place to stay!
A nice house in a small, quiet town with friendly people. There are 3 bars nearby.
