The only positive I can point to was the polite woman working the evening front desk. Everything else was awful. I picked this place based on its Priceline ratings, since I don't book hotels below 8/10 or 4/5, and this turned into the worst hotel stay I've ever had. It deserves one star only because zero wasn't an option. I found a cockroach on the wall as soon as I entered the room and asked to move. The desk clerk said they were fully booked. I went back in with the hotel's can of bug spray and checked behind the refrigerator. At least a dozen more scattered across the floor. I sprayed the ones I could see and brought the clerk in to look. She was shocked, but I still couldn't change rooms. One even got into the shower area, and there were dead roaches behind the bed that hadn't been cleaned up. Since I had booked through Priceline.com, they said they couldn't refund me. No one offered another property either. I'm allergic to cockroaches, and now I've got an intensely itchy, painful outbreak.

Breakfast was tasty, had a good selection, and the desk person kept it well stocked. The room itself was clean and quiet. I did notice marijuana smell from other guests in the hotel, which I wasn't a fan of.

The price was great, and the bed was about as comfortable as you can expect when you're away from your own bed. Both reception clerks, at check-in and check-out, were really nice, and the room was clean. We were only stopping for a shower and a little sleep, so it worked out well. We'll keep this hotel in mind as our regular stop next time we make this trip. We were up and out early, so I can't comment on breakfast.

I had to take the lampshade by the bed off before I felt safe sleeping because there was visible mold on it. The shower also had mold throughout, and the ice seemed to contain black debris or something that looked like an insect. I reported these health and cleanliness problems to the front desk, but they said Booking.com had to handle any refund or resolution. I have photos of what I found. I stayed at Sleep Inn Macon I-75 from February 6-8. These conditions were unacceptable for a hotel, branded or otherwise, and I'm requesting a partial refund because of them.

The staff were friendly, the shower was great, and breakfast was decent. We were traveling to Florida with our ESA dog and had a positive stay. The room was clean, too, and it was good value.
