Comfort Inn & Suites Macon West

We got out as soon as we could and didn’t even bother checking out breakfast. We tried the pool, but it was gross, and bugs were crawling over the only table where we could set our things, around something spilled there. The first room had weed in several spots on the floor, other guests’ belongings in the drawers, and big clumps of hair under the nightstands between the beds. They moved us to a suite, which didn’t have weed or hair clumps, but it was clear they don’t vacuum or take cleaning seriously. We were traveling to Florida with our family, including two small children. Never staying again. Zero out of 10 if I could. Do not recommend.

The room was decent enough, but I’ve had much better for the price. I stay at more than 40 hotels a year, and yours was only the second that charged me one of these ridiculous fees. I won’t spend another nickel here. The owner blamed the $100 deposit on my company’s CLC agreement, but no, it’s 100% a business decision you made. You have the right to run your business how you want, and I have the right to protest unfair practices. I’ll use that freedom of speech by not staying here again. You act as if I don’t know what the $100 is really for, and have the gall to charge it to CLC guests. Stay on the North side of town, save cash, and avoid this.

The lobby and pool/hot tub area smelled of septic because a pipe had burst before we arrived. In the room, the bed covers weren’t clean, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed, the fridge wasn’t cold, and water dripped from the freezer. The tub backed up and didn’t drain properly. Housekeeping knocked to clean before checkout time.

A great find for us on the drive home from a road trip. The breakfast was really good. My only very minor complaint is that the indoor pool felt a little cold, though maybe that was because we went right when it opened to try to swim before leaving.
