We slept well in comfortable beds, and the location was convenient. Still, after three days the place felt sadly rundown, despite being meant as an upgrade and looking that way at first. There were stains on the walls and furniture, leaking drains, and cabinets coming off their tracks. There were also agreement forms at check-in telling us to be quiet, and elevator notices saying not to jump. It made us wonder if things have really got so uncivilized that an upgrade hotel chain needs to post that stuff.

We booked the two queen suite because the listing showed a wet bar, which we needed for washing bottles. When we arrived, there wasn't one. The front desk said wet bars are only in king suites, but we needed two beds because my mom and mother-in-law were with us. Showing the wet bar in photos for the two queen suite was completely misleading. We also chose this hotel because the room was advertised with a refrigerator, so we could safely store breastmilk. It shut off every two hours, meaning we had to press a button again and again to keep the milk cold. I've stayed in efficiency style hotels with refrigerators that work properly. The milk spoiled. Staff offered to put it in the restaurant fridge, but I wasn't comfortable with staff constantly going in and out and the possibility of contamination. They said to think of it as an “ice box,” in which case it shouldn't be advertised as a refrigerator. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets felt rough. The hotel looks nice, but the comfort and accuracy of the room listing fell short. Our first trip with our baby was stressful and disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it to families.

I wasn't sure about the place at first, but the staff were amazing and the room was clean and nicely equipped. I especially liked the finishes in the remodeled room. I definitely plan to stay again.

The restaurant area's food was good, though expensive, and the people were helpful and polite. But the building layout was terrible. My wife and I both have knee problems, and they put us in an accessible room at the far end of the fourth floor, as far as possible from the building's only elevator. The furniture was awful too, and the only ice machine was on the first floor. Sorry, but we won't stay here again.
