Rodeway Inn Muskegon Airport

The staff were nice, but the price just didn’t feel worth it. The rooms were small and the beds uncomfortable, and the morning coffee was only okay. For the same money, I could stay a little farther from Michigan Adventures and get a comfortable bed and a pool. One night was enough to leave our backs sore and make us sure we wouldn’t come back.

The staff were friendly, though they didn’t seem to care much. We got no room service for four days, and the place is old and run down. At 1:30 a.m. music was blasting through the hotel, with guests in other rooms singing along badly. The walls are paper thin, so it was a rough choice for a business trip when I had to work the next day. I tried it once, and won’t again. If you can spend more, maybe you’ll find more considerate guests and staff who care.

We arrived late at night and I wish we’d kept driving. The room wasn’t clean, and I didn’t feel safe in the area. It was missing nearly everything I’d expect at a hotel: no towels, ice bucket, hair dryer, or Kleenex. The ground floor window was also unlocked.

The room was quiet through the night, check-in was easy, and everything was very clean. It looked newly remodeled, with nice new flooring and a sink. I expected carpet from the pictures, though. The power was out from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m., which was probably just unlucky timing. Great price, and I’d stay again.
