We’d stayed here once years ago, but the hotel has gone way downhill. The place is covered in tacky warning signs: breakfast is dine-in only or they’ll charge $10 for taking a plate out, no jumping in the elevator, dry off before leaving the pool, and set the hot tub dial back to 12 or it’ll burn out. The tub was brown, and its dial didn’t work anyway. It was the most unfriendly, uninviting hotel we’ve visited at the beach. We were also told, with a lot of attitude, that there was no crib, even though one was listed as available and mattered to our choice. They said they weren’t responsible for what a third-party site posted. When I asked about not being able to stay, they said there were no refunds, and that I still owed a resort fee the third party hadn’t covered.

Kaila at the front desk made our last-minute Myrtle Beach trip so much fun. I was there November 6-10 with my best friend, and every time we saw her she wished us a great day. She was so positive it rubbed off on us. I hope she’s still there if I make it back. The hotel was pretty great, too. The mini fridges were a decent size, the beds were decent, and breakfast in the morning was good. Our shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed, so we got the floor wet a few times, but we could have brought it up and had it easily sorted. It’s about 11 minutes from the beach and 4 minutes from medieval times. Great location. Highly recommend!

The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the front desk ladies were friendly, honest, and helpful. They offered good directions and tips for getting around to local attractions. The pool and hot tub are showing their age but still usable. It’s close to everything, and I’d stay again.

We had no air in the room, and the toilet made a horrible squeal every time it flushed. The front desk attendant was rude and didn’t care, saying there was nothing he could do and that I had to email. Nobody ever answered that email. Customer service was nonexistent, and contacting Choice Hotels was a joke. Do NOT stay here!

The rooms were clean and really spacious, and everyone at the front desk was polite and helpful. The pool is small and old, but very clean. Breakfast was included and pretty good. For the price, this deserves six stars.
