The parking made it easy to get to the floor we were staying on, and the maid service checked in each morning to see if we needed anything. The room was very clean. Nice place, and I’d stay here again.

I liked the resort and the front desk staff were good with customer service, but the way my room was handled over the month I stayed made me feel unsafe. In the third week, maintenance came in and removed the microwave while the DND sign was up, without telling me. The week before, housekeeping entered while I was out, also with DND on the door. Then I got a text saying they needed to check the room because it hadn’t been checked since I arrived. I asked for 30 minutes to get there, but the man who came in searched the closet, refrigerator, under the chair cushions and the bathroom. It felt like a shake-down, as if I’d stolen something. I wondered whether racism played a part, because I don’t think this would have happened that way if I were Caucasian. The first week, after I’d already been there several days, I was told to move because someone had requested my room. That didn’t make sense to me. I kept DND on my door every day. It’s a wonderful place, but the people working there were very unprofessional, and management sucks.

We’re not planning to return. The staff tried to address the problems and fixed some of them, but we were told cleaners check on maintenance issues. Putting that responsibility on cleaners is very irresponsible. There were several things wrong in the unit: only two stove burners worked, the master bathroom counter legs looked close to breaking, and the shower shelves were fitted so poorly we couldn’t set our soap on them. The washer and dryer closet door nearly fell off when we arrived.

Ashley at the desk was the best part of the place. She tried to work around my disability and other issues, and the second room was somewhat better than the first. I didn’t choose the hotel myself, my daughter booked it online, and we had to leave after about an hour because of a family emergency. I wasn’t heartbroken about leaving, though I was upset about the reason. They kept our money. The first room smelled moldy and gross. In my experience, the hotel wasn’t very handicapped friendly. The parking garage also doesn’t really suit full size vehicles. And get ready for pressure from the other Ashley about a timeshare presentation, a 1.5 to two hour sit-through for whatever they say you can get. I wouldn’t call this place luxury or romantic. That’s just my perspective, but I’d give it no stars if I could, and I won’t be back.
