Quail Inn and Suites

Parking is included, which is great, and the balcony has a lovely view. I chose a penthouse suite because it cost only an extra 25 per day. There are two suites on the top floor, and I stayed in 802. The hotel looks very outdated, as expected. The elevator felt sketchy, and I spotted at least 4 roaches in the room. The kitchen sink knob was broken off and just sitting there, and the bed was terrible and felt very cheap. I would’ve preferred a normal room. This suite used to be one big suite, and they’ve just screwed in a divider that a child could climb over into the next suite. The normal rooms have solid dividers from ceiling to roof, which give more privacy and a feeling of protection from neighbors.

My friends and I booked through booking.com three months ahead, then the hotel canceled the reservation without asking me or even telling me. They later wanted triple what we’d originally paid. I’ve never had anything like this happen. For your own sanity, definitely don’t book with them.

The room was superb and completely spotless, even though the hotel clearly needs some maintenance. The parking lot was easy to get into, and the staff were fantastic. I arrived at 3am after lots of travel with 3 small, exhausted children, and was nervous about bedbugs because the price was low. I lifted the sheets and mattress covers and found no evidence they’d ever had an infestation. The mattress and boxsprings also had bedbug protectors. (Mar 2026)

We paid less than half of $300 or $400 for 2 nights, and for that price it was well worth it. We stayed in the superior suite, with a full kitchen, stove, dishwasher, large deck, and great views from the top floor. There are buildings in the view, but you get what you pay for. The hotel needs renovation, though the clerks were very helpful. If the look isn’t your main concern and you want to be within walking distance of the beach, this place works.
