Staybridge Suites Myrtle Beach - West by IHG

Breakfast was fabulous, with sausage, oatmeal, grits, eggs, salsa, jalapeños, sour cream for making a breakfast bowl, cereal, fruit for cottage cheese or waffles, decent strong coffee, bagels, and more. We missed it the first morning, and I could tell the offerings changed from the day we went. The showers were the best I’ve had in a hotel, with a strong flow and wide spray, and there were plenty of towels, with more available at the desk. Our double-double suite had two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with two queens, plus two full bathrooms. It also had a kitchenette with a two-burner stove, dishwasher and fridge, a living room with a pullout couch, a table and three chairs, three TVs, and windows in every room, probably more than I noticed. The beds were a little springy but comfortable enough, and I slept deeply. It was just my husband and me, so sleeping separately meant no snoring to hear and no waiting for the toilet or shower. We really enjoyed our stay!

The GM, Scott, was welcoming, and the friendly staff made us feel well looked after. You can tell the hotel is under new management, and they plan to make more improvements. We went for Thanksgiving and stayed four nights and five days. The pet-friendly setup was lovely, with bag and trash stations and nice places to walk, even at night. Our suite had two bedrooms, three beds and two bathrooms stocked with full-size Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Water pressure was great. The dining room was spacious and comfortable, with a fireplace that was always lit and a big TV. We loved the morning breakfast and evening social with beer, wine, nonalcoholic drinks and food. One night there was salad, meatballs and garlic bread. The breakfast spread included a yogurt parfait bar, waffle station with mini waffles, bagels, cereal, juice, eggs, sausage and bacon, grits, oatmeal, coffee, milk and soda. The hot tub was fun too. We didn’t smell anything bad or see bugs, the floors weren’t sticky, and everything felt pleasant.

The suite had two beds in one bedroom and another in the second, along with a full-size fridge with ice maker, dishwasher, coffee, stovetop, microwave, dishes, silverware, pots and more. There was also a living and dining area with a couch, chairs, ottomans and a TV, plus two full bathrooms with full-size Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The pet-friendly grounds had bag and trash stations and pleasant walking areas, even at night. Staff were friendly, and the GM, Scott, welcomed us warmly. The hotel is under new management, and it shows. It’s a pretty place, with plans to make further improvements. We stayed four nights and five days over Thanksgiving and loved it. We enjoyed the hot tub, breakfast, and evening social with beer, wine, nonalcoholic drinks and food. One evening they served salad, meatballs and garlic bread. The large dining space was comfortable, with a fireplace that stayed lit and a big TV, plus a quieter section without a TV and an outdoor patio. The Pantry was open 24/7 for drinks, beer, candy, ice cream and frozen meals, paid for at the front desk. I’m adding lots of outdoor photos since I missed taking pictures inside.

We had a really nice, spacious, comfortable room, and the front desk service was five-star. The rest of the staff were great too. Our stay at Staybridge Suites in Myrtle Beach, SC, ran from Thursday, November 27, through Sunday, November 30, 2025. The one bad experience was breakfast on Sunday. It was scheduled for 7:00 to 10:00 AM, and I arrived at 8:42 to find the area full of guests and most of the food gone. Mirna and Eli, the two food and beverage employees on duty, said there was nothing left and wouldn’t put out more, even though breakfast had another hour and a half to go. I took a bowl of cereal and sat down. About 20 minutes later, a large white family arrived, and the women suddenly began bringing out more food. You can imagine how that felt. Apart from that incident, the stay was great.
