Beau Rivage Golf & Resort

I’ve been playing here since I was six, and I’m 22 now. I’d like to understand why a round costs over $100 when it was $60 just a year and a half ago. In my opinion, there’s nothing especially special about the course. Carolina national or Magnolia Greens are much better options any day of the week for close to half the price, if not less. This course is worth $60-70, but charging over $100 feels completely unnecessary.

It’s the staff that keeps making each visit memorable. From the moment you arrive, they’re warm and welcoming, and make you feel at home, like they’ve known you forever. This was my third stay at Beau Rivage resort, and it continues to impress me. The rooms are roomy and immaculately clean, the restaurant is quaint and inviting, and everyone I met was friendly and upbeat.

Sheila Smith handled both our check-in and check-out, and went above and beyond explaining everything to us. It was our first visit, and we’re already looking forward to returning. The property is clearly well kept, and the rooms are very spacious. We only had one night there this time.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly, though the place was a little noisy. Someone walking around upstairs woke us early. I also had a bad experience trying to get coffee in the morning. I thought I could charge it to the room, as at most hotels or resorts, but I didn’t have cash and the older lady working at the restaurant was kind of rude. I didn’t want to go all the way back to my room and then return over one cup of coffee that cost them about 10 cents. She could’ve offered to let me pay later or put it on the house. The way she handled it made me not want to go back, so I took off a star.
