Red Roof Inn Nacogdoches

There were bugs crawling on the furniture, and the large group being allowed to hold an "unknown" party in several rooms around us made us feel very unsafe. We left immediately without staying and asked for our money back, but still haven't received a refund. We went there to check in, but I won't stay at this place or any other Res Roof Inn property. Stay away!!!!

I personally killed tens of roaches during the night, including ones on the wall near the bed and many more in the bathroom. I took pictures and videos during my stay at Red Roof Inn Nacogdoches. I was there for one night, November 29-30, 2025, and the room was infested. I showed the evidence to the front desk in person around 6:00 AM and reported the problem. They didn't apologize, offer to move me, or suggest any solution. The only response was that they'd inform the managers. I contacted Red Roof Inn corporate later and requested a refund because of habitability and safety concerns. They acknowledged the pest issue but wouldn't refund me, offering loyalty points instead, which I declined. Corporate then closed the case, saying they couldn't help further.

Getting here can be a pain depending on which way you're coming. There's no direct turn in from one direction, so be ready to drive past and make a U-turn, with angry Texas trucks behind you when you're going slowly on the highway. That's obviously not their fault. The stay itself was a pleasant surprise, with a comfortable bed, a clean room, a nice front desk, and actual breakfast. For a motel, about as good as it gets. Netflix and YouTube didn't work, but most motels don't offer them anyway, so no matter.

The room and the rest of the property were clean, and the parking lot was well lit, so I felt safe there with my daughter. Check-in was easy thanks to the friendly staff, and the bed was really comfortable. They were also helpful when I realized I’d left something behind. We stayed for SFA orientation, and I’d happily book here again on a future visit.
