Fin 'n Feather Waterside Inn By Kees Vacations

We had a nice vacation at Fin and Feather. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had no bugs anywhere. Our room had been reserved by other customers, so they moved us to a bigger one, which worked out fine. It’s a little distance from anywhere, and our dog Kanye enjoyed the stay too. I recommend the place, and thanks to Fin and Feather.

The room didn’t look like the pictures and had a strange odor, so we packed up and left as soon as we noticed the hair all over the comforters and sheets on both beds. Getting in was easy: staff were responsive about check-in, the room was ready early, and we had the door code when we arrived without needing to check in face to face. Still, I wouldn’t recommend it.

There was trash left in the room, dust piled on the windowsills, mold on the shower curtain, dead roaches everywhere, and live ones showed up within five minutes. It smelled strange when we walked in, and there was blood on the ceiling. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I’d rate it zero if I could. Don’t stay here unless you’re ready to find somewhere else. Wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.

The location could have been great, but the parking lot was awful. The rooms were filthy: I rented two and had to clean them myself after nobody responded when I tried to reach out. Floors were covered in sand and pet hair, surfaces were grimy, and there were bugs, trash, hair, and a bandaid in the shower. The fridge had been turned off with rotting shrimp inside, and the room smelled horrible. Hair from people and pets covered the beds and sheets too. The management company only grilled me after I got home, and they wouldn’t acknowledge my earlier attempts to get help. They offered less than a quarter of the cost as compensation, conditional on signing a form saying I wouldn’t speak poorly about them. What kind of customer service is that? I booked through a third party, so that part was my fault. The reviews there didn’t show how disgusting it was. I can’t understand how the company accepts these conditions. My photos are on Yelp and Expedia. The place had the worst hospitality and service. The way they handled it could have made all the difference.
