Windjammer Unit DD

I was really disappointed when I got to my unit. The kitchen was squeezed into such a tiny space that it was hard to even walk in, and the carpet was filthy with a terrible smell. The whole place felt stuck in the 60s, with paneling throughout, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. This wasn't what I signed up for, so be careful with booking sites. I wouldn't recommend staying here, and I think RCI should take the resort off its site.

I'll be asking Interval International for a refund for the week. The unit wasn't kept up well, with dated furnishings and decor, worn carpets, and sliding doors that were very hard to open. There were roaches in both the kitchen and bathroom. The shower was stained, there was mildew in much of the bathroom, and the old beds and couch were uncomfortable. Walls were buckling from water damage, and the window and door locks were deteriorated. This isn't Interval International quality timeshare accommodation.

The location, beach access, and what we get for a week are hard to beat, and we love it here. The office staff were great, and maintenance responded well whenever we had a concern. But as owners, we've had better service when it comes to cleanliness over the past couple of years. I was told rooms are checked after cleaning, but I'm certain that isn't happening. It's embarrassing when visitors renting or staying in our unit or others pay good money for a week at the beach and end up with second hand cleanliness. Please make sure the follow through improves for everyone's sake. Let's do a better job of showing the place off.

I love it here, and everything has been clean each time I've been here. I'm a new owner, now in my second year, and the staff are welcoming, friendly, and quick to respond. When I was looking, I needed an ocean location, two bedrooms, and a pool, and this place checked every box. The accommodations could use some updating, and there are lots of stairs. It'd also be nice to have somewhere on the lower level, maybe under the condo, to store beach chairs and things. The condos aren't oceanfront, but I can see the ocean from my upper balcony, and I can walk to the beach without getting in my car or crossing the road. At the Windjammer, it's just the stairs and sand dune between me and the beach. Be ready to climb, but it's worth it to me.
