Brass Lantern Inn

We came to The Brass Lantern for our niece's wedding and booked 7 rooms for the family. The rooms were lovely, each with its own character, and we felt extremely well cared for. Sharon and the staff were kind and knowledgeable. The group could gather in the breakfast room and lovely courtyard, and we enjoyed the delicious, personal breakfasts. The afternoon cookies were a big hit with everyone. I'd certainly love to stay there again.

We had a hiccup getting over when our high speed ferry was canceled, so we mentioned it to Sharon in case it would help with future guest communications. She went above and beyond to make things right. The Brass Lantern Inn was lovely, close to the port and downtown, and we enjoyed the satisfying, delicious breakfast and gracious hospitality. We'll be back.

Sharon, the innkeeper, is friendly, knowledgeable, and amazing. The rooms and amenities are no frills, but the price is right, and everything was A+ for what we needed. The Brass Lantern isn't the white elephant, isn't waterfront, and doesn't have restaurants or shops. The inn does have first-floor rooms, but getting to the second-floor rooms means climbing fairly narrow stairs with a turn. We loved everything else, from the room and service to the comfort and location. Breakfast is wonderful, though eggs, even hard-boiled ones, would be a welcome addition. We're looking forward to coming back for the fall Albie run.

Sharon was great, and breakfast was delicious every day. My wife and I stayed three nights in a room that managed to feel both spacious and cozy. We could walk to dinner on two nights, and town was close for shopping and browsing the stores. I'd highly recommend the Brass Lantern for a stay on Nantucket.
