My daughter booked this room for me while I’m receiving cancer treatment nearby. I paid $486.64 for a dirty, damaged room with a kitchen, though it can’t have gas because gas makes me sick. The cabinets were broken and grimy, so I went to ask for a sink stopper to clean them. Zaebrea at the front desk said they didn’t have one and that I should be able to wash dishes without it. The way she said it was the problem. She was sitting with her arms crossed while talking to me, and Bradley Williams, the manager, was in his office. He eventually said he’d get one for me. I wanted to move to one of their cleaner properties and called to ask about switching. They said I’d still have to pay the full $90 for the night and couldn’t check out until morning, so I’d lose money either way. I booked another extended stay, but now I have to remain here to avoid losing the weekly rate. This is a lot of money for us, and I wouldn’t want a sick family member staying here. I’ve read the reviews, and many mention how rude this young woman is.
The room and the rest of the hotel felt filthy and worn out. There was a damp smell mixed with cigarette or weed smoke, the room was badly outdated, and the shower curtain was completely missing. I was only there one night and can’t imagine staying for longer in a kitchenette room like this. The place threatened to tow my car over parking information, yet couldn’t provide a shower curtain. I’d sleep in my car before coming back, and would spend a little more to stay somewhere else. The trouble started at the desk. I asked calmly why they needed my license plate in their system when I had a parking permit for the mirror. The woman got aggressive, took the permit from me, tossed it aside, and said it was their rule and my car could be towed if I didn’t give the number. She wouldn’t return the permit until I did. I understand wanting to keep non-guests from using the lot, but this felt strange and potentially predatory, as if they might sell the data. I travel from hotel to hotel and have stayed at hundreds over the last few years. A polite refusal to share my plate has never led to a towing threat. Towing a car from a spot covered by my room cost over information that seems barely relevant doesn’t seem legal or moral to me.
I saw management reply to a review from another guest going through cancer treatment, saying the problems would be addressed. I checked in on 12/20/2025, and the issues were still there. The microwave is broken, the shower curtain is damaged, and the water swings between scalding and freezing with no warm setting. Every washing machine is broken. My mother spent $17 on a load because there was no out-of-order sign; the clothes came out soaking wet, and she had to keep adding dryer time. Night staff make you feel like a major inconvenience when you ask for help. On Christmas break my minor sister passed out in the shower and EMTs were called. The woman at the front desk came down complaining about the inconvenience. During a winter storm, my mother’s key card wouldn’t let her back inside after an ER visit at 1:00 am. The emergency guest number didn’t work, so she was locked out until she found our window and banged on it for me to let her in. There’s just one maintenance man for the whole building. I’m paying over $850 for a roof and a bed, when a homeless shelter would provide the same for free. I’m already in debt from medical bills. What am I paying for?
Brittany has made my stay at Extended Stay feel really welcoming. I’ve been here since November, and she’s been so helpful and friendly whenever I see her.
It’s such a comfort knowing Brittany and Julie are at the front desk. Whenever I’ve had a question or a problem, they’ve taken care of it quickly and professionally, always with a positive attitude. They go the extra mile and somehow add a little cherry on top. Their kindness and dedication make a real difference here, and I’m grateful for their service.
