Gulfcoast Inn Naples

I was there for 2 nights on a business trip. The elevator wasn’t working, which meant carrying 30 lb tubs up three flights of stairs. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was a problem for work. Staff told us it hadn’t worked since September! The hotel is old and needs maintenance. I’m sure it was beautiful in its day, but that day has passed. My room had dirt ground into the floors, a fridge that was old and moldy, and lights with an electrical short. There was no breakfast. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The pool was the main reason I picked Harold’s for a girls’ trip with my daughter. I know the place and the pool, so when I called to book, I expected to hear if it would be closed. Nobody mentioned the planned closure. In Florida, I would have chosen another hotel if I’d known. The front desk apologized when I asked, but that was all. I left the manager a message and emailed too, with no reply. I could have gone to the Cove Inn instead. So much for our pool day 😔

I paid for two nights, but when I saw the room I felt sick and went straight back to ask for a refund. They said it was fine and promised to refund me, then charged my card two days later as if I’d stayed. I asked the manager to check the cameras to confirm I was telling the truth, and emailed, but never got a response. The room and service were horrible. This place is terrible, and I think they’re scammers. Don’t stay here.

Tami at Vesuvio’s was so warm with our kids and made them feel at home. She did her best to accommodate our group, and the pizza was delicious. We also enjoyed the food and service at the tiki bar. From the moment we walked into the lobby, the place felt welcoming, and the front desk looked after everyone in our party. We had a pleasant vacation at the Gulfcoast Inn and will be back next year for a long weekend.
