When my less than one year old found broken glass in the room and put it in her mouth, we pulled it out right away before she was hurt. Looking for more, we found a broken crack pipe in a corner. The room was less than 100 feet from the front desk. When I took the pipe to the desk, upset but not rude, staff said they knew the previous occupants had been using drugs and had to clean more than a few pipes out of that room. That raises serious questions for me. They knew what was happening and didn't call the cops? Had anyone vacuumed or walked around to check the room was safe for the next guests? If they hadn't vacuumed, I doubt they wiped things down either. Those drugs can leave residue that may be absorbed through skin, which put people in danger, including my two small children who crawl, touch everything, and put their hands in their mouths. Then I got the runaround. I asked for a general manager or someone higher up and was told he wasn't in and was hard to reach on weekends. More than four times, different employees told me they'd spoken to Greg, but he refused to talk to me. I got the same response when I asked to speak with housekeeping management. It felt completely disrespectful. My child had been exposed to drugs, and if we hadn't caught her quickly her life could have been in danger, yet nobody seemed to care. I also called the corporate numbers and couldn't reach anyone. I was left on hold for at least an hour. This place failed from housekeeping through front desk management, which didn't try to contact us while we were there, to upper management, which didn't follow up within 24 hours of the incident. It felt unhygienic and unsafe, especially with children, and left me with no faith in the brand. Do not book here.

We left quickly for the Residence Inn around the corner, and that was a blessing. It cost more, but it was completely updated and much nicer. At this hotel, the woman wasn't at the front desk when we arrived, and there was no food by the counter. The mattress was awful, with springs coming up and hurting my back. The mini fridge was a joke, there was no microwave in the room, and the place looked old and out of date. Even the TV looked like it was from 1985.

I was here for work travel, and the location worked really well as a central base for my visits around the area. I book as soon as I see a Marriott because I know the service is top notch.

The rooms look nice, but the bathrooms are grimey and you can't shower because the water coming from the sink, shower, and toilet pipes is muddy. See pictures. Several people traveling with me ran into the same water problem in different rooms.
