The prices are reasonable, and I like staying here. The staff are helpful and friendly, and both the rooms and shared spaces are kept clean. Dogs can stay too, though there’s a fee.

We’re here because we were displaced by a fire, and the staff have gone out of their way to help. Kathy and the other woman at the desk have been so kind, from printing emergency resources to getting me coffee after breakfast had ended and finding us cookware as soon as they could. The room is clean and comfortable, and the service has been amazingly friendly. Renovations are underway throughout the property. I’m extremely happy with our stay and would recommend it.

I’m staying at the Nashua, NH Extended Stay America for about two months this time. This is my second visit: I was here for several weeks with my father around nine years ago. It’s a distinctive chain with long-stay rooms and small kitchens, and dogs are welcome. I’ve already met several furry guests here. The people have made a strong impression. General Manager Cathy and Assistant General Manager Vanessa work well together, and Gary on the night desk and Darlene during the day keep things running. The management team handles problems easily. Heidi leads housekeeping, and John and Christine have both been very helpful this week. There’s a free continental breakfast, free WIFI, laundry, and vending machines just off the lobby. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, several kinds of oatmeal, bars, and muffins. It’s handy for a quick drink and snack in the morning. The laundry room has four washers, six dryers, a couple of chairs, plus snack and soda machines. The rooms have comfortable beds with crisp white linens and a new, large TV with a four-drawer dresser. There’s a compact closet with a hanging rack, ironing board and iron, along with shelves. The room is bright, with several lamps and lights as well as a large window. The wheeled chair is comfortable and moves easily between the desk and table, but be careful, it can roll out from under you. I learned that the hard way. The chair that looks like a club chair is actually a very comfortable recliner. I didn’t discover the lever inside the right arm that lifts the footrest until I’d been here six days. Each room has a small kitchen with a full-size fridge, two-burner stove, small microwave, sink, and cupboards for supplies. You can ask for dishes, silverware, dishcloths, pans, utensils, a cutting board, coffee maker, toaster, or dish rack when you check in. The table beside the kitchen is small but works fine.

We arrived on December 12 and had to call twice because nobody was at the front desk to check us in. The lobby felt sketchy, and there was a woman there mumbling to herself. I thought she might have been drunk or on drugs. While unloading our bags, I nearly slipped on ice. The sidewalks hadn’t been cleared, and the parking spaces hadn’t been plowed properly. Then the desk clerk told us to sign a form saying we wouldn’t bring in guns. I’ve stayed at hotels all over the world and never been asked that. It made the place feel unsafe and left me wondering if we had to worry about being shot. I suspected it might be a place where homeless people are allowed to live, or something close to that. We never went to the room and left because we didn’t feel safe. We went to a nearby Hilton instead, and the experience there was completely different. We lost our money and never got a refund for our attempted stay. I can’t reply directly to the business response, but its claim that we got a refund for December 12 is false. They can’t know that we received one, because we didn’t. This response is deceitful, and it confirms my impression of the business. I rarely write reviews this long, but this is why I’m warning people. Consider the nearby Hilton or Marriott and pay a little more for places with standards. If I could give a negative star, I would.

The full kitchen meant I could still cook a meal, which I really appreciated while I was away from home for the holidays. The place was clean and convenient, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating that I felt like family. A great place to stay.
