Fairfield Inn & Suites Wilmington / Wrightsville Beach

Chris, the general manager, and the whole staff made my husband and me feel like family during our December 22-27 stay. The lobby had an amazing fragrance that was breathtaking as we walked in, and everyone was both friendly and professional. Cheyeane made sure the continental breakfast exceeded our expectations and greeted us warmly each morning. Jamyia, the housekeeping supervisor, even introduced herself while she was at the front desk. Jackson, the front office manager, and Mark, the operations manager, also made us feel at home. I’ve never experienced service this good. I’d choose this hotel for a holiday or any other visit.

The bed made for a restless night, it was extremely uncomfortable and I’m not sure why. Apart from that, we had another really good stay at the Fairfield brand hotel. The rooms were very clean, the continental breakfast was good, and customer service was fantastic.

The mini fridges ran at 49 degrees, too warm for storing food. I knew I’d be staying for a few days and used to work in restaurants, so I brought a thermometer to check. I also realized I accidentally gave the service a 2. The staff were awesome, that should have been a 5.

The location is close to just about anything you’d want nearby, and the front desk staff are great. The rooms are clean, but I can’t believe they still have such small TVs when most brands have moved to at least 55 inches. There’s barely any control over the air conditioning, either. The room wouldn’t cool down, so I called last night. The woman at the desk said I should have asked at check-in to unlock the thermostat for more control. I’ve never encountered that at another hotel or Marriott property. Even then, 67 is the lowest setting.
