The staff were friendly and helpful, but that was the end of the good parts. The room was dated and dirty. Housekeeping came to service it and didn't clean the bathroom at all. I was also concerned about safety. Homeless people were allowed to sit on the benches outside the lobby, wander around the property, and come in for breakfast. One person went straight to the buffet in filthy street clothes, wearing a blanket and no shoes, while guests were lined up to eat. The smell of pot was coming into our room from outside, too. I'm shocked Marriott would put its name on this place.

Elias hosted us and was really friendly. The place was quiet, and the lobby, rooms, and bathrooms all looked and smelled clean. Breakfast was good too. It took us about 15-18 minutes to reach downtown Wilmington and the Riverwalk. Definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and had a nice workspace, and breakfast was good. Everyone on staff was very friendly. The hotel has been renovated recently and felt nicer than the one next door.

Once we figured out where to go around the construction, getting settled was easy. They even waived the pet fee because of the work, which was a win. Our room was clean and updated, and we couldn't hear the neighbors at all, even with our TV turned up. We had no issues, and I didn't see any bugs, which is something I always check for. It worked perfectly for us and our pup. I'd recommend staying here.

We're glad we stayed here and would come back if we're in the area. It's dog friendly, and they waived the nightly pet fee while renovations were going on. Our room was super clean, with new flooring, paint, cabinets, and more. Wrightsville Beach is just up the road.
