Chelmsford Inn

I spent a few months in the shelter program here in 2023, and I wasn’t homeless because of addiction. There were more people staying there who weren’t addicts than people who were. You don’t have to struggle with addiction to become homeless, and it could happen to anyone. So please stop judging people by how they look, and stop calling them addicts without knowing their situation. The front desk and breakfast staff were always kind to me, and CTI helped me find housing pretty quickly. I’m forever grateful.

The building looks old, though it’s been remodeled well. The lobby is great, and the atmosphere is nice.

I booked through work. The second room had a bed bug on the pillow too, after I’d already found one in the first room and asked to move to another floor. I checked out. I can almost bet the whole place is infested. There was a weed smell throughout the hotel, and people I described as cracked out were hanging around the hallways and lobby. I do not recommend staying here.

The staff were really friendly, the rooms nice, and the neighborhood quiet. But I only found out by accident that this is no longer a Best Western and that they’re housing people there long term while they seek help for addiction. That may be great for those who need it, but nobody told me. I wasn’t given the chance to decide whether I wanted to keep staying or have my company pay for a different hotel.
