Drake Inn

We arrived really late while passing through and just needed somewhere to sleep. Crystal had a room ready for us in about 15 minutes. The next morning, there was a note under the door inviting us down for breakfast, and my husband came back from the lobby with two huge plates of food. Crystal was still on shift when we checked out around noon and headed back on the road. She was truly amazing.

I called with a couple of questions before booking. They answered, but as soon as I started talking it sounded like they put the phone in their pocket. I kept saying hello and asking if they could hear me over the rumbling noise, but got no response, so I hung up. I called back in case it was a reception issue, and they didn't answer. They completely ignored the call. Very rude and unprofessional.

A quiet, nice place if all you need is a room and you don't expect a bunch of extras. I'd recommend it to adults. There's no reason you can't bring kids, but it's not set up for them, so aside from Sonic and Burger King, they'll probably get bored. Still a nice spot, though.

For an affordable place to sleep with a bed, bathroom, and shower, it can do the job. There's a mini fridge and microwave, too. It's not fancy, and it wasn't especially clean, but the price may work if that's your priority. It's served by good bus routes, and there are stores and restaurants within walking distance.
