Extended Stay America Select Suites Nashville Airport

My original booking was for a week, but I’ve now been here three months and plan to stay longer. The rates compete well with the apartment market in Nashville, and the staff and location have been excellent. The place is clean, safe, and quiet. I’m a Nashville native relocating back to an expensive Nashville market, and I know the history of this hotel corridor. During the January ice storm, the power was out, but William the manager kept in touch so I could check in for my reservation. He’s also been very helpful with issues since I arrived. I hope upper management takes a moment to recognize this team and manager. If I owned a business, I’d poach him!

I was there for four nights. It looked fine at first, but the microwave was really old and the kitchen and bathroom counters looked like they needed repair. They charge for everything, apparently, even clean towels. They don’t offer fresh ones? I won’t stay at one of these places again, and definitely not this one.

I’d stayed here before, but this place has gotten rough, and after this visit I won’t come back. My wife was in the hospital, and I spent a week here with no working heat. The manager came to the room and confirmed the heat/AC unit was dead. I had to use the stovetop to warm the room. The manager offered a 30% refund. Since I booked through a third-party travel site, I was told to contact them and that the hotel would approve it. I did, but was told the hotel rejected the refund. I called the hotel three times; each time they said the manager wasn’t available and would call back. It’s been a month, and I still haven’t received a call or refund.

The price is decent and the staff are friendly, but Room 237 is in poor shape, with cigarette burns all over. The shower squeals so badly I couldn’t take a shower in peace. For two people, they gave us two towels and one washcloth. When I asked at the front desk, they said they don’t give extras. I stayed two nights.
